Making Rainbows is an elephants jersey fabric with a rainbow theme. The colour scheme is perfect for gender neutral sewing for all ages but especially children’s clothing. If you’re looking for more animal themed fabric have a look at Banded Bandits, Sparkle Magic, No Drama Llamas, Geo Unicorns, Georassic and Cretaceous Skies.

Cotton elastane jersey fabric is perfect for making clothing for all ages. The stretchiness and softness makes it brilliant for baby clothing and for those with sensitive skin. It’s also the perfect fabric for leggings, pants, dresses and t-shirts.

There are plenty of free clothing patterns available to download to get you started if you’re not sure what to make. We’ve made a small list of some of the popular PDF patterns over on our blog page here https://secondstarfabric.co.uk/free-pattern-round/

Remember to share your Second Star Fabric creations with us as we love to see your imaginative projects and works in progress. We also run a monthly competition with the chance to win a £10 website voucher when you share your images with us on social media. Tag or hashtag us and look out for the monthly posts in our Facebook Group to see the monthly winners.

GOTS certified organic cotton means that the entire process of manufacturing is ethical and sustainable and all parts of the process have to adhere to strict standards from the farming of the cotton itself including the social implications, worker’s rights and conditions, right through to final printing process. All dyes and inks are strictly regulated to ensure biodegradability and that no harmful substances are used.
