GOTS stands for Global Organic Textile Standard and is the highest certification that organic cotton can have. This certification ensures that the entire textile process is certified to a stringent set of criteria from the moment the cotton is planted until the fabric is printed and shipped to us. We care about the environment and making sure that all involved in producing our fabric are paid and treated fairly. This is why all our fabric is GOTS certified.
Here is a super brief summary of the criteria.
1) Social Criteria: workers are paid a living wage, no child labour is used, fair working hours, legal and fair contracts that include rest times and time off, prevents discrimination, protects wages and follows the occupational safety and health conventions that ensures working conditions are safe and hygienic.
2) Environmental Criteria: this covers all the use of chemicals along all stages of the textile process including restrictions for potentially harmful chemicals and dyes, it also ensures that all waste is responsibly dealt with.

Printed organic french terry: Printed with our original and unique designs this is a 4 way stretch fabric with a soft looped back perfect for thicker stretch clothing such as jumpers or thicker leggings and joggers. Fabric composition is 95% GOTS Certified Cotton 5% elastane, weighing 260GSM (grams per square metre) with a usable fabric width of 150cm. Plain/ solid coloured organic cotton elastane jersey: A 4 way stretch smooth fabric perfect for all types of stretch clothing, particularly good for colour blocking and matching with our printed jersey. We don’t run any regular sales. This is because we keep our pricing as low as possible all year round. We don’t believe in over inflating our prices to reduce them in regular sales. We do occasionally have clearance sales where we need to make room in our storage area or sometimes where fabric is slightly flawed we will reduce the price. All our fabric is in stock and ready to ship. We are a fabric retailer and as such will not hold your money while we order the fabric in. When you make a purchase with us we will post your order immediately.

We recommend washing your fabric on a 30 degree temperature and if you need to tumble dry to use a cooler setting. This is to prolong the life of the colours and the elastane. High heat is known to degrade elastane fibres. In terms of washing detergent we haven’t had any reports of a particular detergent causing any issues but it’s probably best to use detergents that don’t contain any oxidating bleaching agents.
This is entirely a personal choice. Our fabric doesn’t tend to shrink or change shape after washing and the dyes used in the GOTS printing processes are not considered to be harmful and adhere to strict safe levels so it’s totally up to you as to whether you’d prefer to wash the fabric before using it.
When buying a gift card you can choose the gift card amount from the drop down amounts list then check out as normal. We will create a digital gift card code for you and email you the code along with a voucher that you can print if you are intending to give the gift card as a gift.
When making a purchase using the gift card code you will need to enter the code at the checkout and the gift card amount will be subtracted off your order. Alternatively you can ask us to transfer the gift card amount to your wallet account so you can spread the amount over a number of transactions.
